Our Story

Hello! I'm Mitesh Rathod, the creator of Munch Map. My journey to build this platform began with my passion for exploring new cafes and restaurants around my city. Whether it’s finding a cozy spot for coffee or discovering a hidden gem serving delicious local cuisine, I've always enjoyed the thrill of uncovering unique places to eat.

I found myself constantly recommending cafes and restaurants to my friends and colleagues. It was almost a routine — every week, someone would ask me, "Hey Mitesh, where should we go this weekend?" And I’d happily share my latest finds. But one day, my sister casually suggested, "Why don't you create a website for all your recommendations? That way, you can share it with everyone easily." Her idea stuck with me. Why not create something where people could not only see my recommendations but also share their own favorite spots?

And that’s how Munch Map was born.

What started as a personal project to recommend local places to my friends, has now grown into a platform where everyone can post and share their experiences. It’s a community of explorers who want to help others find the perfect spot for their next meal.
